40°C, natural detergent, cold or low-temperature cycle. No fabric softener, no bleach. Fabric softeners coat the fibres and reduce absorbency over time , the opposite of what you want from a hand towel. Tumble dry on low or hang somewhere with good airflow.
Are cotton hand towels good for your skin?
Organic cotton is one of the gentlest materials against skin. ARID towels are made from 100% organic cotton, making them a great choice for sensitive skin too.
How often should you replace hand towels?
Every one to two years with proper care. When they start to feel thin, lose absorbency, or hold onto odours after washing , that's your signal. Keep them away from fabric softeners and high-heat drying and you'll push that timeline out considerably.
